Creating Pollinator Friendly Gardens

Thinking about how you can help create pollinator-friendly gardens this spring? Thanks to Ontario Nature, we have this great list of trees, shrubs, and flowers that will help attract all sorts of pollinators to your yard. We also have some helpful tips to keep in mind:

  • Choose a variety of plants that bloom through spring, summer, and fall will ensure a consistent source of food for butterflies and bees, as well as an attractive garden for you to enjoy all through the year.
  • Try and plant single bloom flowers like daisies and marigolds, as it is much easier for bees to get to the pollen.
  • If space is an issue, consider utilizing window boxes, hanging planters, and other pots you can place around the outside of the house.
